Weekend Series- Porter Robinson’s ‘Worlds’

It’s Friday!

So we are going to try out something new here at The Undiscovered. Each Friday at the end of the day we will be posting an album, playlist, or other collection of songs to play throughout your weekend.

This week, for our first ever Weekend Series, we are featuring Producer/DJ Porter Robinson and his amazing new album Worlds.

Released in early August, Worlds caught the music industry by storm, gaining much critical acclaim and soaring to the top of the electronic music iTunes charts. The debut, full album release from one of electronic music’s premier young talents, Worlds does not disappoint.

Highlighted by tracks “Lionhearted”, “Divinity”,  “Sad Machine” and “Years of War”, Porter Robinson’s debut effort features a sound different from mainstream EDM. Whether it be Robinson trying to separate himself from the field or simply just exploring new sounds, Worlds delivers a fresh sound that transcends the EDM genre as a whole.

At the young age of 22, it’s no surprise that Porter Robinson has been declared one of the genres brightest young stars. Now, heading out on his first world tour to support his debut album, Porter Robinson is ready to prove his spot atop EDM and prove all the naysayers wrong.

Since Worlds release, I haven’t been able to stop listening to it. Whether on my way to work, the gym, or just hanging out at home, Worlds has been playing over my speakers non-stop. If you haven’t taken a listen yet, I suggest you sit back, relax and let Porter Robinson’s amazing music kick start your weekend!
