Shut-ins and the Colony- Phil Connors (King of Sandwich Island)

Start off your morning with some hip-hop

Hailing all the way from Portland, OR is the hip-hop duo Shut-ins and the Colony with their debut single “Phil Connors (King of Sandwich Island).

Containing a member from former Undiscovered artist Jellyfish Brigade, Shut-ins and the Colony are looking to deliver a similar brand of raw and honest hip-hop traditionally found in the mid/northwest. “Phil Connors (King of Sandwich Island)” is the first example of Shut-ins and the Colony’s unique take on hip-hop. Fusing together elements of folk and hip-hop and blended over a low-end electronic production, “Phil Connors (King of Sandwich Island)” delivers an emotional and raw single that will quickly make you a fan of Shut-ins and the Colony.

With their first project, Underwrought (Re)Works, due out on February 24, big things are on the way for Shut-ins and the Colony. Be sure to stay tuned to The Undiscovered for more updates on this awesome, up-and-coming hip-hop duo.

Tune into their label, Polkadot Mayhem’s YouTube channel for more music from Shut-ins and the Colony and other great artists!
