The cello duo that went viral with AC/DC is back and even better than before.
A few weeks back we posted a video that has gone viral of 2Cellos, comprised of Stjepan Hauser and Luka Sulic of 2Cellos, performing a remarkable cover of AC/DC’s “Thunderstruck”. Today I am happy to bring you yet another incredible and impressive cover, this time of Jimi Hendrix’s “Purple Haze”.
What Jimi Hendrix did on his guitar was unbelievable and almost god like. Songs like “Purple Haze” made both him and his music legendary and solidified himself as one of, if not the, greatest guitarists of all time. Fast forward a few decades later and two of the most talented cellist, Stjepan Hauser and Luka Sulic of 2Cellos, take on his iconic hit “Purple Haze” in an incredible fashion.
Performing in front of a massive live audience (A lot more than I would have ever expected for a cello performance), 2Cellos fails to disappoint, performing a spot on cover of “Purple Haze” on their cellos. Without flaw 2Cellos dazzles and impresses the crowd with their performance, hitting all the notes. When I first saw this performance I was surprised at the audience that they brought, seeing as how cello isn’t the most popular instrument in the world. However, by the end of the video I completely understood. Their performances are something that needs to be experienced, with the energy they bring and the talent they hold, seeing a 2Cello’s performance must be an incredible experience.
