The power of music is remarkable
I saw this trailer the other night and felt it needed to be posted here.
With a lot of my life focused around music, the actual power of music has been something that has always fascinated me. Whether it be the ability to help a person get through a difficult time, help a child with a disability foster life skills, or build a relationship between two people, the power of music has always proved to be incredibly strong.
‘Alive Inside’ gives us a first hand look on the incredible effects that music has on our lives. Following social worker Daniel Cohen, founder of the nonprofit organization Music & Memory, ‘Alive Inside’ portrays music’s ability to help combat memory loss and bring back a sense of self for those suffering from it.
As shown in the trailer, the results appear to be remarkable and the experiences gained and emotions felt through the entire process seem overwhelming. Music is an incredibly special piece of all of our lives and often times plays a more important role than we are aware of.
If you love music, are a casual fan, or are deeply intrigued by the scientific value of it, I would highly recommend checking this out. Due to be released on July 18th, ‘Alive Inside’ will be sure to be a monumental documentary in the music industry.
